Care built on the belief that you are a person with a story — not a checklist of symptoms.

I'm Michael J. Marco III, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I care for children, teens, and adults — from age five and up — who are quietly carrying more than they let on: sadness that won't lift, anxiety that won't quiet, intrusive thoughts, mood swings, and nights that won't end in real sleep.
So much of conventional care feels rushed — fifteen minutes, a quick prescription, a wave goodbye. I built Clear Ground to be the opposite of that, delivered primarily by secure telehealth so you can be seen from wherever you feel most at ease, with in-person visits available in New Jersey when they're required. A full hour for your first visit. Unhurried follow-ups. Real conversations where you're allowed to say the hard, true thing.
I take time to understand your history, what you've already tried, and what a good day would actually look like for you. If medication is part of the plan, we talk through the options honestly — what it does, what to expect, the trade-offs — and we move at your pace. I'm not a therapist, but I'll happily help you find a good one and work alongside them.
With younger patients, I work hand in hand with parents and caregivers, keeping the plan collaborative, age-appropriate, and paced for a child — never rushed.
[Add a short personal note here — why you went into psychiatry, your training, or what you care about. A few honest sentences in your own voice does more than any credential list.]
